Proper maintenance can keep your air conditioning system up and running for a long time. By having a professional go over your system annually to check for needed air conditioning repairs, you can prevent larger problems that require greater costs from occurring. Enlisting the services of an experienced HVAC contractor can enable homeowners to detect components that need replacement before the air conditioning unit breaks down. When looking for a professional firm that can carry out air conditioning repairs, choose Inland Valley Heating & Air Conditioning. We can do a complete and accurate maintenance check to ensure the system is running properly. We will be able to examine every part of your air conditioning units for defects and problems. We are licensed, Bonded and Trusted by homeowners throughout our service areas.

Tip: A good rule to keep your air conditioning running efficiently and reduce repairs is to change your filters often. That will save you energy and repairs. Plus they are inexpensive.

A dirty air conditioning system will never work as well, be energy efficient nor last as long as a clean well maintained one will. If your system doesn't seem to be running properly, please give us a call (909) 653-6674 and we'll ensure everything gets back to running smoothly.

When you call Inland Valley Heating & Air to repair your heater or furnace you are hiring us to determine the real cause of your heater / furnace failure. Then to advise you properly on your best course of action. Sounds really simple doesn't it? Well it's not as simple as it seems.

First our heating repair technician will make an overall assessment of your heater or furnace.

We look for:

 - System Age?

 - How Clean is the Heater or Furnace?

 - Is dirt contributing to part failures?

 - Does the Heat Exchanger look good? Or is it getting close to failure? (A bad, rusted or old heat exchanger is a danger to you and your family as it can suddenly crack and release carbon monoxide, which can kill.)

 - Is the Thermostat Working Correctly?

 - Tests for Electricity Supply to the Furnace and the Internal Electricity Supply.

If these are all good then our repair technician continues, testing each component, until finding the part which is bad.

You can count on Inland Valley Heating & Air to do a proper diagnosis to find out what your Heater or Furnace needs for repair or service. We'll give you an accurate evaluation of your heating systems overall health and what repair, service or options are in your best interest. You can depend on us for a quality heating repair, good advice and good service, you can count on Inland Valley Heating & Air! If needed Inland Valley Heating & Air will recommend the heater / furnace best suited for your home. You will be glad you did!

Have leaky ducts? Before the situation goes beyond repair and before unhealthy materials infiltrate your system and affect your indoor air quality, have a qualified technician inspect the ducts, particularly after a diagnostic tune-up. Leaky ducts cost big money all year long. Leaky ducts cost about 18% extra electric costs for air conditioning. Plus a bigger system is needed! You spend more capital money on both air conditioning and heating equipment. Your heating bills are higher too! Because the system runs longer repair cost goes up too. BOTTOM LINE Have your ducts sealed or replaced once and enjoy the energy and capital savings for good. Leave the troubleshooting to the professionals, though. For instance, if the air conditioning unit does not kick on, a technician may accurately assess if the compressor is burnt out. Our technicin will be able to inspect the various components of the unit, check the correct quantity of refrigerant, address and seal duct leakage in the central system, among other things. It is important to make sure that your system is running smoothly and operating at peak efficiency. Beyond having the filters cleaned regularly, a thorough maintenance check can help prolong the life of your equipment. When your unit is working properly, you avoid utilizing more energy and you can cut back on your electricity bill. If your air conditioning unit’s compressor fails, have it replaced. We are a licensed and bonded Air Conditioning and Heating Company, that can handle all maintenance checks and air conditioning & heating repairs. We will be able to explain what causes an air conditioning unit to break down, be it an overheating compressor or excessive pressures occurring inside the compressor. Have a question during your service? Just ask and we'll explain what needs to happen to ensure your system is running smoothly.

Ductless Mini Split Systems

Ductless, mini-split-system heat pumps (mini splits) make good retrofit add-ons to houses with "non-ducted" heating systems, such as hydronic (hot water heat), radiant panels, and space heaters (wood, kerosene, propane). They can also be a good choice for room additions where extending or installing distribution ductwork is not feasible, and very efficient new homes that require only a small space conditioning system. Be sure to choose an ENERGY STAR® compliant unit and hire an installer familiar with the product and its installation. Like standard air-source heat pumps, mini splits have two main components, an outdoor compressor/condenser and an indoor air-handling unit. A conduit, which houses the power cable, refrigerant tubing, suction tubing, and a condensate drain, links the outdoor and indoor units.

If you are looking for ductless mini split system, call Inland Valley Heating & Air Conditioning. We specialize in ductless mini split services, including installations for systems made by popular brands, such as American Standard, Carrier, Ruud, Amana, and Lennox. We also provide maintenance and repairs for ductless mini split heat pumps. When you schedule a routine tune–up with us, our NATE–certified technicians will thoroughly check your system and make any necessary adjustments or repairs. Call any time to learn more about our comprehensive ductless mini split services. Something to also know is that while these systems look like they're easy to install, you want to ensure your hire a professional to ensure all of the inside/outside connections are done properly to keep your system running smoothly.

Advantages of Mini Split Systems

The main advantages of mini splits are their small size and flexibility for zoning or heating and cooling individual rooms. Many models can have as many as four indoor air handling units (for four zones or rooms) connected to one outdoor unit. Since mini splits have no ducts, they avoid the energy losses associated with ductwork of central forced air systems. Duct losses can account for more than 30% of energy consumption for space conditioning, especially if the ducts are in an unconditioned space such as an attic.

Disadvantages of Mini Split Systems

The primary disadvantage of mini splits is their cost. Such systems cost about $1,500 to $2,000 per ton (12,000 Btu per hour) of cooling capacity. This is about 30% more than central systems (not including ductwork) and may cost twice as much as window units of similar capacity. Another disadvantage to some people is the appearance of the indoor part of the system. While less obtrusive than a window room air conditioner, they seldom have the built-in look of a central system. There must also be a place to drain condensate water near the outdoor unit.

Zoning (Making Your System act like 2)

Are you considering a Zone Control System for your home? We install a variety of name brands and models for zone control systems. Typically, a zone control system is installed as a forced air system, and dampers are placed in the ductwork to shut off areas or "zones" that aren’t being used. Zone control systems are designed to save energy because you aren’t heating or cooling the entire home at once. This will save you money on utility bills in the long run. Simply shutting doors or closing off vents will not provide the same results, and could potentially damage the system or reduce efficiency due to lack of airflow. You can also get zoning by installing a ductless mini split system, and we can install that for you as well. Call us any time if you have questions about zone control systems or would like to set up a consultation.

Inland Valley Heating & Air Conditioning offers the Inland Empire Zone Control Systems. From Installation to Zone Control Repair and Maintenance, our NATE–Certified Technicians can handle all your zone control system needs. We specialize in brands that we trust, such as American Standard, Carrier, Ruud, Amana, and Lennox, and we can upgrade your current forced air system or install a new zone control system. We can help you select the most cost–effective solution for your particular home and needs. We are happy to work with customers and their budgets to help them get the system they want.

Are you looking for Air Filter or Air Purifier Services? Call Inland Valley Heating & Air Conditioning for all your installation, replacement, maintenance and repair needs. We provide comprehensive services for many different types of air filters and air purifiers. If you are concerned about the air quality inside your home, give our indoor air quality experts a call any time. We offer free estimates and can set up an indoor air quality consultation with you at any time.

If you or anyone in your home has asthma or suffers from allergy symptoms, any compromises to the air quality inside the home, such as high levels of pollen and humidity, can trigger any number of respiratory problems. With a whole–home air cleaner, you can improve these conditions. Installing air purifiers can be a cost effective way filter out particles that cause some respiratory issues and other health concerns.

While your heating and AC system uses a filter to reduce indoor air pollutants, and most air conditioners do help reduce humidity in the summer, they aren’t as effective as other kinds of indoor air quality systems. Respiratory problems can be triggered by many types of particles common in homes and that cannot be effectively filtered out by your heating and air conditioning system alone.

These particles include the following:

  • Dust

  • Pet dander

  • Dust mites

  • Mold

  • Bacteria

  • Viruses

  • Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)

Adding high efficiency or HEPA filters to a heating and air system will not help remove these particles since most residential systems are not designed to work with HEPA filters. According to the American Lung Association, whole home air cleaners and other indoor air quality equipment, such as humidifiers and UV germicidal lights, can provide additional protection for overly sensitive people. In addition to the filter being changed, you'll also need an expert at Inland Valley Heating & Air Conditioning to check your ducting system. It's very important for health and financial reason to ensure your ducts are sealed to prevent dust, bacteria, viruses, pet dander, etc from getting in and spreading throughout your home.

Call us if you have further questions or would like a free estimate on the replacement a new air filtration system for your home.

Manufactured & Mobile Home Heating & Air Solutions

Manufactured & Mobile homes because of their limited space and air tight construction require specialized air-conditioning and heating equipment and factory trained personal to service and install it. Only HUD approved equipment can be installed in manufactured homes. Standard air-conditioning and heating systems which have not been government HUD approved could cause fire and health issues.

At Inland Valley Heating & Air Conditioning, we recommend Coleman, Intertherm and Miller systems for your manufactured or mobile home.
